Fitting of the Halloween season, the new 58-seat Digital Gym Cinema, with its slick acoustics and reasonably priced concessions, will host “Saturday Scaries” every Saturday evening in October.

The series features a different frightful flick each week, with titles such as The Descent (Oct. 8), Drag Me To Hell (Oct. 15), and The Babadook (Oct. 22), all originating from about a decade ago. Yet the horror fest concludes with two nighttime showings of the classic 1978 release of Halloween (Oct. 29).

Note to DVD buffs: Digital Gym offers a “trade-in” program that allows you to exchange any of your DVD discs for one of the films on display in the cinema’s video library. Visit their website for more details and for a list of all upcoming movie screenings.
