‘Picture It: Golden Hill, circa 1987’

One of San Diego’s prettiest and most historic neighborhoods was given some love recently by local CBS8 TV, which handed over the microphone to the ever-popular “Judy the Beauty” to describe life in Golden Hill in the late 1980s.

Judy is the owner of The Big Kitchen. In the segment, she mentions a very famous actress who once worked at her Grape Street restaurant. (We’ll keep that a surprise for those who don’t already know.) The clip offers excellent visuals of how certain sections of the neighborhood have changed while showing others hardly have.
