Tripadvisor Calls Out San Diego’s Best Breakfast Spots
By Frank Sabatini Jr.
Based on consumer reviews, the travel website, Tripadvisor, recently zeroed in on San Diego County’s most highly rated places to grab breakfast. Among those that earned five stars (or close to it) are several joints found within our urban core.
The standouts you’ll find downtown include Richard Walker’s Pancake House (think house-made corned beef hash and assorted crepes); Cafe 222 (everyone digs their pumpkin waffles and “green eggs and Spam”); and The Mission, known for its strong selection of vegan/vegetarian dishes.
Over in North Park, another location of The Mission landed as well in the top tier. And in Hillcrest, the ever-popular Snooze A.M. Eatery made the cut, thanks to its hearty breakfast pot pies and kicky bloody Marys.
