Waterfront Park Will Be Awash in Crawfish

It’s touted as “the world’s largest crawfish boil in the world.” And the organizers may be right considering that 25,000 pounds of the tasty shellfish are imported from Louisiana waters for the occasion.

Presented by LSU Alumni of San Diego, the event is in its 33rd year and will be held from 11 AM to 5 PM, May 21 in Waterfront Park. It features a full afternoon of live music (some zydeco, of course) and the inclusion of crawfish, corn on the cob, potatoes, beer, and soft drinks with any ticket purchase. Packages for parties of 10 are also available, which means the crawfish are brought to those tables in 50-pound boxes. Bring ‘em on!
