A beer, burger and “frings” at Crazee Burger’s happy hour (By Frank Sabatini Jr.)
Did You Know…
By Frank Sabatini Jr.
…that Crazee Burger in North Park has the quirkiest time slot in the city for daily happy hour?
It runs precisely for 3 hours and 9 minutes, from 3:10p to 6:19p to be exact. Arrive within those parameters and you will score pint-size draft beers for $5.99; wines for $6.99 per glass; and assorted burgers, sausages fries and onion rings ranging from $3.99 to $9.99.
“Why such strict times?” we asked at 3:12p one day while lawlessly stuffing our faces with the discounted offerings.
“I don’t know. Maybe because it’s interesting,” replied one employee in a passive shrug as she kept the long line at the register moving.
After asking another staffer if there is any significance to the odd hours, he responded with a laugh: “Not really. It makes people remember us better.”
He’s right. How can we forget? Especially when the food was pretty decent. Cheers to the ownership’s creative marketing skills.
