Dig Those Sunsets!

Whether you’re perched on a hill in Balboa Park, slung on the couch in your high-rise condo, or reveling in one of San Diego’s many rooftop bars and restaurants, consider those sunsets you might catch as being the best in the U.S.

As reported by Travel + Leisure, which attracts millions of readers worldwide, San Diego was ranked recently as the numero uno destination for watching a sunset—no matter at what time of year.

The ranking was calculated by Privacy Journal, a global information outlet specializing in online privacy. The organization collected social media data from 100 places around the world. It focused specifically on content and hashtags related to sunsets in each destination, based on the frequency of their brilliance. 

After adding up the raves and mentions, San Diego came out at the top of the list in the U.S., and No. 6 internationally, as the best place to swoon over those late-day red, orange and yellow rays.

Note to data collectors and surveyors out there: San Diego has some killer sunrises, too!
