Fly Me to the Moon

By Frank Sabatini Jr.

Leave your flat-earther friends behind for this exciting black-tie event, when former astronauts Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin, Charlie Duke, and Gerry Griffin gather in person to reflect on their involvement with some of the early Apollo moon missions.

Aldrin was the second person to walk on the moon during the Apollo 11 mission that captivated the world in 1969. Duke walked on the moon in 1972 during the Apollo 16 mission. At age 36, he was the youngest astronaut to ever do so. And Griffin served as the legacy flight director for all 14 missions of the Apollo program, which spanned from 1961 to 1972.

The cost to meet, greet, and dine with these space pioneers is $750 per person. The event will be held July 20 at the San Diego Air & Space Museum in Balboa Park. It begins at 5:30p with a reception, followed by dinner and a discussion forum at 7:00p. All proceeds will go toward updating and enhancing future experiences at the museum.
