‘Get Your Tickets Now for the CRSSD Festival’

Even the die-hard fans of San Diego’s biggest electronic music event don’t have a clue what the first five letters stand for in the ‘CRSSD Festival.’ (We didn’t either.) All that matters is that it’s returning to Waterfront Park on March 5 and 6 after skipping a couple of beats.

The techno-fueled bash is normally held twice a year. But fall of 2020 and spring of 2021 were canceled because of the pandemic. Now it’s full steam ahead with a promise that face masks and social distancing “will be encouraged.”

The acronym is part of the production company’s name, FNGRS CRSSD. And you can bet everyone has their “fingers crossed” that the event will be spared any late winter storms even though we’re told it will proceed anyhow.

The program featured a jam-packed lineup of live music performances spanning across three stages (The Palms, Ocean View, and City Steps). Tickets are selling fast despite their hearty price tag of $239, which covers both days of the festival.
