Greenline Development Group Encroaches on Uptown
By Frank Sabatini Jr.
Since making its recent debut into the San Diego housing market with the completion of 8th & U Apartments in Hillcrest, Greenline Development Group is setting up home in San Diego.
Greenline’s headquarters have switched from Brooklyn, N.Y. to downtown San Diego, carrying with it plans for a handful of other high-density projects in our area.
The company was founded in 2019 and has since completed two developments in Brooklyn—a 25-unit apartment building and a 10-unit condo complex. All of its projects are distinguished by the incorporation of recycled materials, exterior solar panels, modern finishes, and colorful aesthetics.
The 8th & U structure (at Eighth Street and University Avenue), flaunts 90 rental units plus one retail space. It stands eight stories tall with underground parking, a gym, and rooftop pool.
Coming soon are two more Greenline apartment buildings in Hillcrest (at 3729 10th Ave., and 3604 Fourth Ave.), plus one in Bankers Hill at 2881 Fourth Ave.
