The number of new housing and commercial developments rising throughout Hillcrest is dizzying. But thanks to the Hillcrest Business Association (HBA), we are given a clear overview of the neighborhood’s rapid evolution.
The organization’s website features a detailed color-coded map showing building projects that are currently in progress and recently completed over the past year. Information on the height and number of units for each project is provided—and in most cases, the names of its developers as well.
Although as we see, there are additional properties in Hillcrest yet to be conquered by developers. They are shown on the map as “areas of possible construction.” Also highlighted are city blocks categorized as “opportunity locations,” which have land and/or buildings available for potential sale.
The map is updated about twice a year, with May being its most recent refresh. But it might be often given the wave of intense interest Hillcrest is presently receiving from builders.
