Nude Model Poses for Drawing Session in Golden Hill

Chalk it up to the ancient Greeks for starting an everlasting trend of capturing the human anatomy of nude models with pencils and paints. The practice is still commonplace today among adult art students and drawing groups, such as the live nude-model drawing session scheduled from 4:30p to 7p on April 11 at Union Hall Gallery in Golden Hill. 

The event is titled “Draw-A-Licious” and is open to those 21 years of age and older.

“It is the first time we’ve hosted a nude-model drawing class, and we’re excited,” said Union Hall manager Gina Farkas, who added that live music will accompany the event.

The session is part of the venue’s “Gossip” exhibition, which debuts for the month of April with art, music and poetry events that organizers say are meant to “challenge the boundaries of authenticity, vulnerability and creative expression.” (In these chaotic political times, it’s exactly what we need!)

Materials, wine, and soft drinks are included with the $10 fee.
