Overseas Travelers Love Us

The online booking platform that specializes in upscale vacations, Luxury Link, recently ranked the top 15 cities in the U.S. that saw the most international travelers in 2023. Data was culled from the U.S. Department of Commerce International Trade Administration, which excluded travelers from Mexico and Canada.
San Diego, in combination with Carlsbad and San Marcos, landed at No. 14 on the list, with New York-White Plains coming in at No. 1 and Dallas-Plano-Irving ranking No. 15.
The study found that 655,000 global visitors came flocking to our area last year. It marked a 17.4 increase compared to 2022.
When cruising through Luxury Link’s recommended hotels in the area, we found posh picks such as Pendry San Diego in the Gaslamp Quarter; the US Grant in the heart of downtown; Kimpton Alma near the Core-Columbia District; and the Hotel Del Coronado on Coronado Island.
