Revel in Memories of Rose, Dorothy, Blanche, and Sophia

More than 40 years after The Golden Girls television sitcom was in its heyday, the fanfare has seemingly tripled—thanks to younger generations that have discovered the comedy show through streaming and reruns.

Such mania has now come to Little Italy, at the Bayside Kitchen & Bar, where The Golden Girls Christmas Experience will run daily from Nov. 19 to Jan. 11.

The immersive pop-up features accurate recreations of the kitchen, lanai and other areas of the fictional Miami house where the “girls” resided as roommates. It also offers a cafe experience featuring holiday-themed desserts such as cheesecake slices named after the show’s four main characters, plus beverages, and drinks like spiked eggnog and hot buttered rum—all seen in episodes throughout the show’s seven-year run from the mid-80s to early-90s.

The event is curated by Bucket Listers, which previously presented the Malibu Barbie Cafe at this same venue. Tickets to the Golden Girls Christmas Experience are $22 for general admission, which includes a drink; and $45 for sporadically scheduled drag brunches that include bottomless mimosas.
