‘Rocket Man’ Due to Touch Down in Petco Park

Our trusty sources at Petco Park predict that tickets for the stadium’s May 9 Elton John concert will sell out “within a week” once they go on sale March 7.

The singer-pianist extraordinaire arrives for a good cause. He is helping to raise funds for Curebound, which has generated $8.5 million for various Southern California cancer-research institutes over the past several years. Because the concert is for charity, and by a legendary musician who bid farewell to touring twice since 2018, tickets will start at $300.

John’s last hurrah in San Diego was more than two years ago, when he swept through Petco Park on his tour titled, “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road: The Final Tour.” Check here for updates and pre-sale ticket info.
