Scribbling in South Park

Drink, draw, and repeat. Then behold the potential masterpieces that might result from your juiced-up crayon strokes. That’s the general rule of thumb at the doodling meetups held by Sketch Party San Diego held on the first and third Tuesday of every month at Whistle Stop Bar in the heart of South Park.The events are free and open to artists of any level. They start at 8:00p.

Basic drawing materials are provided by the bar, although participants who want to go above and beyond stick figures and curly Qs are encouraged to bring their own art supplies. Check the bar’s event listings for Sketch Party’s occasional theme nights, such as the one that recently focused on the surrealist style of artist/filmmaker David Lynch.
