Grants | San Diego
Attention Nonprofits and Small Businesses
By Frank Sabatini Jr.
The financial toll the pandemic inflicted on non-profit organizations and independently owned businesses within the city of San Diego remains evident. As a result, Mayor Todd Gloria recently announced the launching of a $12 million grant program available to those operations that are struggling to stay afloat.
The grant program was established through a partnership with the San Diego Foundation, which relies on philanthropy and investments for raising funds. A chunk of the grant monies, however, were derived from Gloria’s $4.6 billion “Back to Work” budget, which he signed into law this summer for the 2022 fiscal year.
Applications for the grants are being accepted until Sept. 24. To apply and learn about eligibility, click here.
