Look for a late-August opening of Camino Riviera, which replaces the whimsically designed El Camino in the northern section of India Street. The space was taken over by SDCM, the local hospitality group that operates urban hot spots such as Vin de Syrah, Kettner Exchange, Devil’s Dozen Donut Shop, and more.
The food, drink and design concept will reflect Mexico’s Mayan atmosphere found along the Caribbean side of the Yucatan Peninsula. Will customers be greeted with faux Mayan ruins and tropical-style cocktails? We think so.
