…that Hillcrest is one of San Diego’s oldest neighborhoods north of Balboa Park? After the area was established and named in 1907, it soon earned a reputation as being ideal for young families seeking affordable housing and access to electric street cars. In years prior, the neighborhood was known as “University Heights.” Ditto for Mission Hills and North Park, until they were eventually founded under their respective names.
